NANTO PAINT GREEN COATING SYSTEM FOR HULL APPLICATION IS ENTERING THE MARINE AND YACHTING MARKET

Following the successful presentation at the 2018 American Coatings Conference in Indianapolis, in front of the most important industry leaders, Nanto Paint team keep on introducing the innovative and green coating system for hull applications to the marine and yachting market.

The system comprises an anticorrosion layer and another layer which can provide either antifouling or reduced friction properties.

Nanto Paint has developed two different coating solutions with high performance to be applied on the hull, based on ship’s characteristics:

• Nanto Paint NPC AF-SIL03 for marine industry & NPC AF-SIL06 for yachting industry are two nanotechnology-based epoxy-silicone coatings with properties of reduced friction, completely biocide-free. With very high solids content and low VOC, prevent fouling adhesion and grant a high reduction in fuel consumption. The products show their better performance with vessels operating regularly and with speed above 12 knots.

• Nanto Paint NPC AF-BIO PAINT01 is a biological underwater paint, based on a mix of natural resins, completely copper, biocide and zinc oxide free, with antifouling properties. It is a totally ecological product, which can provide a good grade of cleanliness without affecting or polluting the marine environment. It is suitable for vessel with speed up to 30 knots.
